“He who forms the mountains, who creates the wind, and who reveals His thoughts to mankind, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth— the Lord God Almighty is his name.” – Amos 4:13 (NIV)
Remember Who God Is
How often do we let our problems overshadow our faith? When life’s trials press in on us, we sometimes forget who God is. We allow the weight of our circumstances to loom larger than the One who holds the universe in His hands. But let this verse in Amos be a powerful reminder: our God is above everything.
God’s Power in Creation
The same God who formed the mountains, who created the wind, and who orchestrates the rising and setting of the sun is the One who stands with us in every battle. He is not distant. He is not unaware. He is the Lord God Almighty, and He reigns over all.
When the enemy tries to whisper lies that God is absent or that your struggles are too big to overcome, look around at His creation. Every mountain declares His majesty. Every gust of wind testifies to His presence. Every dawn and dusk remind us that He is still in control.
Victory Through Christ
The enemy wants us to be overwhelmed, to feel isolated in our struggles, but the truth is—we are never alone. The God who moves the heavens and the earth is the same God who fights for us. Victory is already ours in Jesus’ name!
So today, no matter what you are facing, shift your focus from the problem to the Problem-Solver. Lift your eyes from the storm to the One who walks on water. Instead of magnifying your challenges, magnify the Lord, because He is greater, stronger, and sovereign over all things.
